An Introduction to Our Ministry  Our entire church family would like to warmly welcome you to visit us. Our church, which exists as the result of a unique merger orchestrated by the hand of God, has been serving the southwest communities for over fifty years. If you are able to visit us, we're confident that you will immediately sense the warmth of our fellowship and the depth of our concern. In an age when many tactics are used to draw and entice people to visit church, we are committed to church services which are modeled after the pattern of the Bible. To achieve this goal, Southwest Community Baptist endeavors to provide a ministry with a distinctly spiritual focus.

A God-Centered Ministry 
 
Since the Bible tells us to do all things to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31) and so that our church might be to the praise of His glory (Ephesians 1:12), we endeavor to have an upward focus in our services meant to encourage an appropriate reverence that will turn our attention to God and not to man.

 
A Christ-Centered Ministry 
 
We believe that the church, which Jesus said He would build, is not a building, but a body of people who have received Him as their Savior. Since God gave him to be the head over all things to the church (Ephesians 1:22), we give Him absolute preeminence by focusing on His person, His teachings, and His saving work.

  
A Bible-Centered Ministry 
 
Our conviction that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, compels us to place great emphasis on Bible preaching and teaching that will equip Christians for life and ministry. Furthermore, we believe that the predominant message of the Bible stresses man's need for a personal experience of salvation from sin.
