Our Essential Message
The Bible teaches that all people owe their existence to the creative work of the one true God. For by him were all things created, that are in heaven and earth (Colossians 1:16).
It is imperative to know that all men will give a personal account of their lives to God in the judgment. . . . the judgment of God is according to truth ...Who will render to every man according to his deeds (Romans 2:2,6).
The judgment will reveal that the things men do fall short of God's perfect standard because men are not naturally good, but are fundamentally sinful in their nature and in their choices. There is none that doeth good ...For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:12,23).
As a consequence, our sin requires God's holy justice to place us under the penalty of physical and spiritual death (hell). ...the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).
In spite of all human effort, no one can save himself from sin's penalty by trying to earn favor with God through morality or religion. Not by works of righteousness which we have done ...for by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God (Titus 3:5, Ephesians 2:8).
Though we cannot save ourselves, there is good news! Jesus Christ provided the only way of salvation by dying on the cross to endure the penalty for our sin. God demonstrates his own love towards us in that while we were yet sinners. Christ died for us (Romans 5:8).
If you will now turn from sin and receive Jesus by believing that He died in your place, God promises to forgive you, save you from death, and give you eternal life. Repent ye, and believe the gospel. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Mark 1:15, Romans 10:13)
